Time: 12:00 am - 12:00 am
Location: Online

Online event with  Susan Browne & Matt Padwick

Restore the body’s natural rhythms and work with your thoughts and emotions.

Kum Nye calms the mind and restores the body’s natural rhythms. Meditation gives us the tools to work with our thoughts and emotions. Sessions will begin with Kum Nye, followed by meditation instruction, with the opportunity for questions in small groups with Matt and Susan.

Suitable for beginners, and people of all ages and fitness levels, this one-day workshop will be a unique combination of breathing and movement exercises, blended with stillness, providing both a gateway to meditation and a path to deepen our practice.

SCHEDULE

9.30 -10.45 Session 1

11.15-12.30 Session 2

15.00-15.45 Q&A with both Matt & Susan

16.15-17.15 Session 3

17.45-19.00 Session 4

SET UP

Do your best to be in a room [or dedicated space] where you will not be interrupted. Many of the exercises are chair-based, so an upright chair (preferably without arms) is good. To relax fully we need to be comfortable so only sit on meditation cushion if it is easy for you. Set up your seat in a way that you can see the computer/tablet screen. For the standing exercises you need enough space to move your arms out to the sides and above your head (and see the screen!).

Yoga mats are not necessary. Wear clothing that allows free movement. Best is not to wear shoes, barefoot is ideal, but soft slippers or thick socks are cosy!

The retreat will be live streamed via Zoom. See below!
